Patients Contacting the Surgery to ask for Covid-19 Vaccination
We are receiving numerous calls from patients confused about when and where they can get their vaccination. In most cases this is because you have had a letter from the NHS nationally telling you that you can book an appointment or go to a mass vaccination site. Please be assured that if you don’t want to or can’t travel to a large site, you can wait to be called by the Mount Group Practice to have your vaccination at Rutland House. We will invite you in accordance to your cohort/age or priority group and there will be no delay – everything is on record and you won’t be missed if they are registered with our surgery. The telephone lines are extremely busy due to the volume of queries being received regarding the Covid Vaccinations. Please bear with us.
If you want to attend a mass vaccination site, you must book online using the information given in the letter you have received from NHS England. If you do not have access to the internet and cannot book online, then please call 119 free of charge.
Community Transport providers across South Yorkshire are offering a free return journey to a Covid-19 vaccination site to people in high priority groups, who cannot access public transport and have no alternative travel arrangements. Please note that this service is only for people in Doncaster to get them to and from Doncaster vaccination sites. To book a return journey, please call 01302 342400 or 01302 360600 only when you have your appointment details and please give one or two days’ notice before you need to travel. Visit Travel South Yorkshire for more information.
